FO: Sega Saturn This is Cool console Modified

I have a This is Cool black transparent console with all the hookups and the controller that came with it. This does not play Japanese games because US hardware was installed and the Japanese one was removed. This works flawlessly and only plays USA games. The condition is in really nice shape. I am looking for $120 shipped. I have done a lot of business on Nintendo Age and ebay if you need to see my feedback. I ship only to the USA.

Here we go again, another "member" who only comes to town when they have shit to sell. LAME!

$100 was a serious offer.
With a US console inside it isn't exactly as appealing as the genuine This Is Cool console.
I think I could get one loose for around $100 on ebay if I kept an eye on auctions for a year or so. Unless I'm mistaken, these Saturns aren't selling for shit ton of money anymore unless you have a complete minty one.

I was about to ask what happened to the original Japanese motherboard, because I'm in the market for one.

I purchased this over a year ago and I bought it from someone on the Neo Geo.com forums. Apparently the Japanese motherboard died out and was replaced with an American one by that seller.

Well considering the board isn't the original stock board it came with then the price isn't going to be worth as much as you'd like for it. I've seen the originals go for about $125.00 to $130.00. I don't know how much you paid for it but if it's more then what I'm saying then you're going to have to take a loss. It's a nice model design but it sadly isn't worth so much since all you're really selling now is a U.S. Saturn system in a Japanese Shell. :(

This is an example of one of them. Of course this is not worth as much as that with USA hardware inside. But I have seen sold listings over the last year for these and usually they go for $180 some dollars, even more when shipped from Japan with shipping costs involved. I have never seen it for $100-$130 on ebay. Just look at the sold listings there.

An American motherboard is only useful if it's region modded to being Japanese. A lot of desirable Saturn games are Japan-only. Comparing yours to an unmodified one is not a fair comparison. Those ones can play the games they were designed to, while this one can not.
