See, the controller has a few awesome uses it can be used for.
The problem is that it's only truly great in a VERY limited number of situations.
Then it has a few where it can be ok, but not really all that special.
And a whole lot where it's just there, and barely adds anything to the experience.
It should NOT have been the default controller, period. I argue the same thing about wii motion controls, but that console at least sold like crazy for several years almost entirely on the merits of wii sports games.
