Have anyone ordered from jap-sai.com (arcade-gear.com)? The site was last updated in jan 2014, I wonder if the shop is still alive. It has some nice and rare goodies listed.
Also anyone knows if it is Japan based? Their PayPal invoices are in JPY afaik.

Anyway, funny you should mention them because I just discovered them myself the other day. Judging from the game descriptions (and the site name LOL), it sounds like English blokes wrote them but I guess they could have just copied the text from somewhere, dunno.
From what I could see they seem to want you to contact them for prices for everything which is a bit weird. To be honest I perused their Mega Drive/MCD and Neo Geo AES/CD stuff and apart from the fact that a lot of their selection appears to be out of stock, they didn't really strike me as having too much interesting or rare shit compared to the usual heavy hitters. Japan Gamestock has a better selection for MD if you ask me.
Who knows though, maybe their prices are really competitive. I don't have the cash at the moment to find out unfortunately.
It's probably run by a foreigner living in Tokyo since the text is obviously written by a native English speaker and it gives a "Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission Second-hand Merchandise Dealer's License" at the bottom. The site not being update for so long most likely means they aren't operating anymore.
What are some good retro console shops based of Japan?
Just use a service like http://www.fromjapan.co.jp and buy on Yahoo Auctions.
I've checked a couple of items I am interested in aaand there were less offers than on Ebay (by japanese sellers. I prefer buying from them because they usually have their items in very good condition).Quote:
