It says Streets of Rage 2 will come out in July in North America and Europe, Gunstar Heroes a month later in August, and Sonic 2 in September. Each game will cost $6, €5, or £4.50 depending on your region.

Rerelease after rerelease. Not excited at all. Looking at the previous Sega 3D classics releases, these are just emulation with some added effects and screen filters. Why not just dump the entire back catalogue of games at once? No, they will be releasing 2-3 titles at a time and making a big deal of it.
These are actually remakes of the games. Yet another crappy 50-in-1 emulator compilation would be kinda pointless, especially as that's all Sega did with its back catalog for the past decade.
I'd be more interested if these games would receive gameplay related remix modes. 3D mode Graphics alone, or implementing cheat codes as gameplay features like they did with Alterd Beast or Shinobi 3 aren't my thing. What would get me to spend mone yon this are for example: an extra zone or two in Sonic 2 from old assets. Axel debuff in SoR2, weapon rebalance on GSH, score fixes for the latter two, stuff like that.
With the PS2 Phanatsy Zone and the Rebirth series on Wii, M2 (they are the this time as well?) have shown that they can think themselves into an old series pretty efficiently, so as good as their 3DS based emultor may be, I'd also like to see some of their game design skills put to use as well.

Some of them don't really add a lot of value, but many of them come with tons of extras such as full screen 16:9 display and a ton of extra options and features. After Burner 2 even adds an extra campaign and Outrun 3D also comes with a ton of extras and also ups the FPS up to 60.Quote:

The scaler games are excellent in 3D and are some of the best home releases for those games. It doesn't add much to the side-scrollers really. It's just a gimmick.
They're well done ports regardless. If Sega released a compilation of the 3D games on a cartridge I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
wish we had more arcade ones in this batch, but fuck it - Gunstar is so bought!
I'd rather have more 3d versions of sega's 80's and 90's arcade games, they've milked the genesis games to death already.
I saw Thunderblade mentioned. If that is more faithful to the arcade version as opposed to the home version, it could be interesting. Other than that I wish they would just make some more new material.

If they added new stuff to SOR2, they'd just end up with a clusterfuck of a balance like SOR Remake had.
What would be cool is if they'd release a version of SOR3 that doesn't have the entire game edited.
