Exactly.
Had they reversed it, 75% for the mod creator and 25% cut to be shared between the game creator and steam, it would have been fine and I don't think there would have been anywhere near the backlash.

Yea, but that doesn't make it any less depressing. In a twisted way I almost wish this went through, if for no other reason than to make them pissed off at him.

That may still happen down the road regardless, but hopefully when it does the cut for modders will be reasonable.

I respect Gabe Newell as an innovator and a businessman but yeah, the way some people lick his feet is disturbing.
