This actually has some pretty good music to it for a comedy / goofy song. You can never go wrong with getting comedy out of Captain America and the Avengers, though...that game probably has some of the worst digitized voices I've ever heard next to Altered Beast.
Thanks man :) This was a line me any my nephew would always laugh at when we were kids playing co-op, I guess it coordinates with the new Avengers movie, but I always wanted to play with the samples of this game in my music.
Had a bad day and it put a smile on my face so thanks.
Awesome; I'm really appreciative of the feedback. I'm trying to get some material together to do a 'real' release this summer, and it gives me honest-to-goodness confidence to hear positive responses to my stupid songs :)
Totally unexpected but AWESOME! The samples put a smile on my face this evening! :p I think I'm going to play this game tonight!
Reped!
I'm gonna have to fire up the cart later tonight, I had to emulate to grab the sound samples and I felt dirty playing an emulated version when I have the real deal on my shelf :)
For some inexplicable reason I really enjoy those cheesy voice samples! And playing through the game, you've got alot to choose from should you decide to create another tune!
Just this week a someone published a comparison video between the NES, Genesis, and SNES on Youtube. If your a fan of the game, I think you'll enjoy the following video:

I actually saw that on the day that I wrote the song :) Funny thing about the samples, is that in the Genesis version sound test, you have the "You can't escape!", but there is no "You will be the one escaping!", forcing me to actually play through the first level to get the sample, and thank goodness that the music fades out to add dramatic emphasis to the exchange. Come to think of it, that's probably why it was/is so hilarious playing it growing up/now.
Seems like a good time/forum post to pimp more of my stuff a little bit, here is a more serious attempt at a 'SNES Style' song. I really love OPL-3 / Genny style music, but gotta give the SNES some love, too :)

Edit:
Thought I would ask, are there any other songwriters / sound fiddling types on the forums these days?
You can't have the ying without the yang! And the SNES' library does contain some excellent music. With respect to your enquiry, yes there are a number of members who dabble in music. Chibisteven and Raislin are at the forefront of my mind. Retrospiel also dabbles in music. Dennab is a DJ. Armoured Priest recently disclosed he wrong a piece of music for a song (thread here). Then we have Steph whose recently approved the Street Fighter 2 Sound driver (thread here). gasega68K is a masterful composer and his music is featured in his homebrew works (found here). To be quite honest there are a whole slew of guys (and possibly gals) who produce music/audio in one form or the other. There is also a SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive homebrew title titled Project Y and we are lucky enough to have one of the composers occasionally post his works here(Further info can be found here). There are a bunch of other people whose names escape me for the moment. But yep, I am happy to say that you are in good company! There are alot of composers/musicians who frequent the forum. :p
Thanks for the introduction to the scene! I wonder if there would ever be an amenity made to the forum to have a place dedicated to music and production...
Well, you can post a topic in the "site & forum feedback" sub-forum requesting your idea be considered. For your ease of reference, his is the link:

Good luck!
