Wow!
I passed this a few times but didn't actually go in, since I knew what I wanted was in the set of Sega ones in Akiba. Should have gone in!
That camera was shaky enough for the individual behind it to be a modern action movie director :p.
I'm a little bummed that the only classic cabinets I noticed were some fighters and 1 shoot 'em up, though.
At least the Egret cabs aren't totally gone. It would have been nice to see a whole floor with nothing but Egret II and classic PCBs... but I guess those days are over, even in Japan.
You can still find arcades full of egret cabinets. They just are more off the beaten path. Places like Taito Station and Club Sega are usually in busy expensive locations and depend on a high volume of customers, so they just have the popular stuff.
I know there are a few really seedy arcades in one particular underground shopping center in Osaka. The place is full of pachinko and mahjong parlors interspersed with rundown arcades that only have egret cabinets for the most part.
The black guns are nice.
The Club Sega on the left side of the block (hard to describe...) had a floor filled mostly with CPS2 and CPS3-era fighters in Blast City cabinets, and the third floor of Super Potato had a pretty good arcade (had Puyo Puyo Sun and Sexy Parodius!). The same floor of Club Sega had Gradius II and Gradius II side by side, which was a very welcome find, and Puyo Puyo 2 (System C2) near the door.
It's seeing videos like this that make me think of actually visiting Japan at some point, even if it's purely to go through some arcades and game stores.
