This is a little test made by http://www.WTF5.com that will show you if you are capable of hearing the annoying teen repelant mosquito sound. The mosquit sound is played at various levels ranging from 30 khz to 10 khz. 99% of the population will be able to hear the sound around 15 khz. Take the test and find out if the Teen repeler / repel mosquito machine would work on you. We have tested 2 models of the mosquito machine and it worked quite well.

I expected a gag since they screwed up their numbers: almost no one can hear much above 20kHz (so 30% at 25kHz my ass, basically), and no human I'm aware of has ever been able to hear up to 30kHz. Most of our soundcards will filter out anything above 21-22kHz anyway, unless they're set to a 96kHz sampling rate.
My own hearing tops out around 16-17kHz. I used to be able to hear a CRT TV's flyback transformer easily; now, not so much. Younger people can normally make it up to 19kHz at least, but so many people trash their hearing with earbuds these days.
This is so true. I think in the next 20 years or so there are going to be a lot of Millennials that can't hear worth squat and there will be a big demand for new and better implants to help revive your hearing.Quote:
