If what you are trying to communicate is "Why doesn't Beggar Prince show the SEGA logo at startup?", then the answer is simple: Beggar Prince isn't licensed by Sega, as they no longer support the Genesis - Megadrive. Which, of course, is a question that has already been answered in this very thread at least once...Quote:

But if you bought the official dev-kit from them for about $1000-4000, maybe they would have agreed to give you a license and you could have had their logo at the start up screen and also on the box, cart and manual.
Any port in a storm, eh?Quote:

I just ordered my copy of beggar prince it did not take me long to think about it
Why not?Quote:

No, why would I be sarcastic to you, a developer to my FAVE video game system, although an unlicensed one? :p.Quote:

It should be cheaper today. But since dev.kits aren't necessary, just go with the license, that should save you some pennies. ;)Quote:

That's the idea; let's just hope it comes to fruition.Quote:

I talked with their janitor. He said, "For the last time, Cobb, there's no unreleased prototypes left over in the rubbish bin! Get a freakin' time machine!" I then asked him if his floor scrubber was powered by the 68000 processor, to which he only gave me a dirty look. If anyone knows dirty, it's a janitor.Quote:

Yup! But can't you share some new info on it? I promise to buy it, even if it's Street Fucker.Quote:

Are you waiting to sell the final copies of beggar prince before you realese the next game? And are you going to make anymore copies of beggar prince?
No, I am waiting to finish the next game before releasing the next game.Quote:

Weīve talked about the license-problem before on this endless thread. It did not look to good back then as I recall. I still donīt understand whereīs the problem for Sega earning money for no work and having some good press for supporting their oldies. Especially since they donīt produce Genny-games themselves, so you donīt take away potential customers of their own games.
I hope the guys at Sega watch these forums:
GIVE COBB A FUCKING LICENSE!!!
Regarding your next project one thing confuses me: You say youīll finish it before you tell us what it is. But you announced Beggar Prince about half a year before it was actually shipping; why donīt you want to do it that way this time? Give the people some time to pre-order...
Iīm frightened of the day you announce that your new game is ready for shipping...and itīs the highly acclaimed PRetty Girl Mahjong!
Maybe Brandon coob isn't trying hard enough to get a license besides just go on www.sega.com and post on there message board and ask about a license they read that kind of stuff if they add endless poll's.
I can imagine him doing that and making a thread like:
"omg like can u guys giv me a license 2 releese gamz 4 ur systm lol i got sum gud gamz i wanna bring out lol."
Beggar Prince was completed at that time.Quote:

So how far how you gotten in the production phase? And what year will this game be released?
I generally don't discuss the status of our "in progress" projects with the public. Beggar Prince, for example, was primarily undiscussed until its near-completion. It's nothing personal; it just helps to keep unnecessary questions at bay while we work.Quote:

Iīm a prophet, so this information must be correct.
By the wy, the day after the shipping begins the end of the world will come.
OK, so I just got to turtle island and now I'm stuck. Is there some trick to getting past either the lava or the spikes that I'm just not seeing? I looked through the thread and I couldn't find anything, so my apologies if this has already been asked.
I think you should search around for some new boots, IIRC.
Yay! Spoiler tags!Quote:

Any chance of Sega-16 getting a preview copy for some hype? :DQuote:

My copy of Beggar prince came in today and looks fantastic good job super fighter team.
Start playing it and remember to level up as much as you can during the beginning (you can keep fighting the first boss over and over). It may seem repetitive, but it really helps!
Also, try not to eat too many milk candies. If the prince munches down too many of them at once, his teeth will rot out and he'll be unable to pay the high cost to have them serviced. Thus, he'll cry like a baby from the pain until a Snail Wizard slimes him to death (HE SLIMED ME!), and the game will be over.Quote:

OooooK.
Oh crap, he found the key to the liquor cabinet!
Why is beggar prince not rated by the ESRB why is this game leaving me lots of questions.
