The adventurer gives you a big hint about the order of the item placement when you talk with him after getting his leg back.Quote:

If you would like a super ultra deluxe mega hint, scroll your mouse over the black portion of this message directly below.
Arrange the items so that the first letter of their names spells out an acronym for "Obvious Door Locking Solution". Then you're all set to go!
Hopefully that helps.
Thank you good sir. Now I can continue my journey.Quote:

Same here.
I have a weeks vacation off work coming up, and I need a good RPG to kill some time.
SFT should really update their website.
I placed my order on 5/21, and from what I understand the next shipment from the factory will arrive sometime next week, before shipping to the end customer.
All fine and dandy, but checking the ordering page and still seeing "Beggar Prince is currently in stock and available for ordering!" is a little foolish, with no shipping confirmation after 6 business days (counting the US holiday).
Maybe If I was informed before my credit card was charged, that the game wasn't available, I would have changed my mind, or even kept the order with better feelings on the matter.
As it stands, I'm patient and understand the delay, also I'm excited about getting a copy of BP, but with the misleading website, I'll never order from SFT again, nor recommend anyone do so in the future.
I apologize for the delay and can certainly understand your frustration. I've sent you a private message in which I address each of your concerns to the best of my ability; if you have further questions or comments after reading it, please feel free to let me know.Quote:

As it stands, Beggar Prince is back in stock as of today (05/31/08) and all pending orders will ship on Monday (06/02/08). Please watch your e-mail for the confirmation message, and of course, let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for your continued interest and support.
I'm so considering buying this but 40 bucks mmmm still I am that dedicated to my Genesis Model 2.
To help you decide, you may wish to read some of the customer responces in this thread, or a few of the professionally published reviews of the game.Quote:

I received my copy today.
I'm really impressed by this game.
I'm a little shell shocked by the old-school gameplay mechanics, not used to 16 bitter rpg formula anymore, the 32bit generation has ruined me. This reminds me of back when I played breath of fire for the first time, not knowing what to expect.
So far with the few hours I've spent with it, I can say this game is most certainly awesome, and you've outdone yourselves at SFT. I'm going to show this to an "RPG obsessed" friend of mine after work tomorrow and he'll most certainly try to rob me of it for weeks, or hound me to order him his own copy.
Thanks alot!
Pix'N Love (France) ran a feature and brief interview about Beggar Prince in their #3 issue from January:
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings about the game; I'm happy you are pleased with Beggar Prince. Hopefully, it gives you many enjoyable hours of play. :)
So is Beggar Prince 2: Beg Harder in the works yet?
Video Game Trader magazine published a two-part interview with me in their May and June issues. The content covers both Beggar Prince and our upcoming horizontal shooter Zaku, among other things.
*** Video Game Trader interviews Brandon Cobb, part 1 ***
*** Video Game Trader interviews Brandon Cobb, part 2 ***
As of June, we have produced 1,500 copies of Beggar Prince all total. Of that number, we have thus far sold over 1,300 copies.
I can't wait to hear more about that new Genesis game!
WOOT just made the purchase cant wait to get it. I will be getting Zaku as well
Any chance of you shoving Zaku through the port-o-matic for a SEGA machine?;)
so any news on the up coming genesis game super fighter team is creating?
It's another Taiwanese RPG...can't be that many options; which ones do we know of?
My guess is Legend of Wukong.
PenguiNet, Zaku's developer, is quite against the concept of a port, which is something I can understand and appreciate without question.Quote:

Ok.
thanks for the reply brandon. i wasnt trying to take focus from beggar prince just wondering.
Yeah, there'll be a new thread/sticky when that announcement is made. You won't be able to miss it.
I know you weren't - but often times, one unrelated question gives rise to a dozen. I am very grateful for everyone's interest in our next product. :D I'm just trying to ensure I can easily seek out people's questions about Beggar Prince and tackle them in a timely manner.
Thanks!
I'd like to know how long the remaining supply of Beggar Prince might last before it sells out... I want to buy it, but my financial outlook tells me I probably shouldn't buy it until mid next month. I heard BP has sold pretty fast, is one month too long to wait?
The interview said there were 1500 copies made and around 1200 copies sold. The game became available in 2006. Think for yourself if you can buy it next month or not :).
I am glad they made more copies of the game, it has selled a solid number too nice stats Zebbe.
Waiting a month or two shouldn't be a problem.Quote:

i just got the notification that my beggar prince is on its way to me. cant wait to play it. anyone beat it yet?
I don't think anyone has, no. ;)
That Zaku game looks a lot like 'Zonk.
Like Pier Solar, the upcoming RPG for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive ;).
...which has absolutely nothing to do with Beggar Prince, Zaku or any of our other Super Fighter Team products. Is there really some deep need to continue advertising Pier Solar in this thread? The game has had its own stickied thread for quite a while now; I'd appreciate it if such discussions were kept there, where they belong.
Thank-you.
Oh, I thought Super Fighter Team was going to release Pier Solar as the sequel to Beggar Prince, so that is why I advertised. Sorry :(.
