Doom, the motion picture

I don't know about this one... the license could make for such an incredible action film, but this preview has me more than a little concerned. Those POV shots look absolutely cheesy, and what's up with this abundance of soldiers? Doom to me has always been about the hopeless last chancer fighting for survival against impossible odds. Anyone read the first Doom novel? That would have made an amazing movie.

Who knows, maybe this'll be awesome. It'll be hard to shake off these negative first impressions..

I'm waiting for the Duke Nukem movie to come out... if I'm not mistaken, 2007 is its scheduled release... and yea, good call on th last man survival thing... but when Doom 3 starts out, there's a whole squad of soldiers and they all die, so it might be that there's one left after the rest get killed.

this movie looks bad ass, lets just hope it lives up to its expectations

It was a yet another horrible video game movie. It really stumps me how they could destroy something that they already have a script and visuals for....

I thought the Doom film was f***ing AWESOME and I loved The Rock's acting... but then again I have a really shit taste in films and I think Arny Schwarzenegger should be a multiple Oscar winner.

Ah-nuld should have multiple Oscars just for T2. It's "awesome" in movie form.
