I had just received a new used US model 1 genesis to try out the scart-to-component converter... I have a CSYNC cable form retrogamingcables to test it out... tried it on my AQUOS LCD tv... the screen twitches up and down slightly every now and then... and I still get those static lines going from bottom to the top of the screen... going to try it on my CRT tv in the basement and I'm going to buy new component cables... hopefully it doesn't happen on the TV downstairs but I'm starting to think it might be the converter if the same problem is happening on two different systems :(
Are you sure the LCD supports 240p component? The basic type of scart-to-component converter maintains the video's original format as much as it can. No options to upscale, interlace/de-interlace, or convert between 50hz/60hz.Quote:

Anyway, I was wondering if something like this would let you do the same thing, without producing too much lag.
That's just a passive adapter. All that's going to do is split out existing signals from the SCART cable (i.e. unless you have a SCART cable that carries S-video, you're not getting S-video out of it).
