Nintendo Switch (Official Thread)

I can't wait till the next relevant Switch news for this thread to get back on topic.

...Ok, on that note, I just learned today that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is coming to the Switch. Neato.

I'm getting this vibe that the Switch could become a powerhouse for exclusive, or at least definitive, physical (indie?) releases. All signs are pointing to it.

Has anyone played Blaster Master zero yet?

I think John Riggs did a review on it.

I'm interested in the switch, but not as it is yet. The price is way too high for what it is (at least 50€ come from supporting pointless gimmicks, like separate batteries in each joycon, well, the joycons in general), and the games are not worth it yet.

But I will get it eventually, the new Zelda seems really cool. For now, Horizon will do :)

Nope! None of those problems. I did put that joycon thing on backwards once, but it wasn't that hard to get off.

A lot of people seems to love that you can have each hand wherever you want when playing (even though not using the joycons in any gimmicky way), so I guess the separate batteries feel worth it for them. Unless you can get the joycons powered wirelessly somehow =P

There's definitely quite some gimmicky stuff that we didn't need though. Ironically, 1-2-Switch seems to have been selling quite as lot (not as much as Zelda for obvious reasons, but still).

So you don't have a WiiU then to play that Zelda game. Well, then I for sure don't see you getting the Switch anytime soon. I for one instead just got a regular PS4 for 100$ cheaper then the Switch like 2 days ago. No brainer decision if you ask me. I mean, for those who don't have a next gen console yet, would you choose the Switch over X-Bone or PS4?

That is exactly what I did, I bought a 1 TB PS4 with Horizon instead (well, my gf did technically, I don't care enough about gaming anymore to consider a console worth the price of admission unless at least another person will make use of it).

The switch for me is a portable, I will get it once it has a decent price for a portable. I don't care that the joy cons come out, I will always use it like a big PSP or in the dock with the pro controller.

Zelda? I have made my way to a certain laboratory and the backstory told seems reminiscent to Yoda, Obi Wan, etc..,

Yeah... the price of the pro controller is pretty absurd... But more absurd is the price of an extra dock, thankfully that is not something one will usually have to buy. (seriously, it is a piece of plastic with ports, why is it so expensive?)
