Yes too silly. Crackheads do things like steal my car battery and bicycle, copper roof tiles, or rip the copper out of utility poles. They do not understand or even have the ability to understand any market except the few available to them, scrap metal, selling stolen bikes and their bodies for crack /meth/bath salts/ oven cleaner/etc . When I'm at the scrap metal place they show up with stolen shopping carts welded together into trailers pulled with a bike (probably mine) . They bring just enough stolen garbage (always unorganized so the non crack head customers get to wait extra long) to buy that 40oz of OE. They wonder through my neighborhood like zombies all day long or zip along on their 8 zillion db motorized bicycles at 4am. Oh what a happy day it would be if some ordnance just happened to fall off of an A-10 onto that trailer park or halfway house down the street. No crackheads they are not

I've bought and flipped games to fund my addiction of buying more games so you may be on to something.

Though I'm collector sober now that prices have gotten out of control and I own most of what I'd ever want to.

As collecting was my hobby, I knew what games were going for so it was logical to buy games that I saw cheap and sell them online for the current going price so I had the income to by more games. I'd like to add I didn't really set prices unless I was selling on forums. On eBay I let the auctions themselves decide the price. Does that make me part of the problem? The price hikes were inevitable as the hobby gained popularity as were out of control resellers.

Counterfeits have really killed it for me as well. If you want to have a moral argument in regards to video game collecting, look no further.

I was getting is a bad habit of dumping money on games I wasn't playing. I mean as adults we all reach that place where time is limited and my library was out growing my capability to play it. BUT I was wasting a lot of time on forums and facebook casually bullshitting. Things is, a lot of the outlets I belong to weren't really interested in discussing games beyond "look at how much money I spend/save!" so I started my own youtube channel. I play more games, and people with an interest in talking about them find me. Best of all worlds.

I don't know about the collector/collectard/gamer debate. But I do know that I wasn't happy with my personal habits which was something within my power to change.

^ Not just not enough time. I've plenty of time. Just that I love to replay my fave games way to many times too (ie. 10 non stop stop every day of replaying Shining Force 3 before moving onto Genesis/CD Shining games, almost 2000hrs of Mass Effect 3mp, etc). And sometimes moving onto a new game and sticking with it until it clicks can be very though too. But when a good game clicks, my backlog goes out the window. Because who cares about that when I'm having so much fun replaying what I love.

But I don't have anything against collectors. Outside of envy for having way more games then me. ... But collectards... well, I just want to say collectards because it sounds so cool.

A 12 step program should begin and like how those that have quit smoking/drinking/drugs become pious assholes who look down their nose trying to save those lost souls, we too can save those collecturds from the dark path. By living at the foot of the cross Jesus has wiped my slate clean of those 2k AES cart purchases so I may sit in a cell with my flashcarts like a monk with his straw.

I have thousands of games and no free time. I need more than 4TB dedicated to Steam.
