ntsc rom sonic on pal tv question!

Guys and gurls, i got roms for sonic games genesis, and i have some stuff wich i wanna know, i have pal tv, but sonic & knuckles rom is amerikan version ntsc version, and i notest when im playing it on my tv from my computer it dosent go so smooth as on my lcd screen, beacose i have pal tv i know hz thing" i know i can set evropean rom on emulator and picture goes smooth on TV then, but slower, as we know some pal games are slower as ntch ones, and i wanna play ntch games , amerikan version on my pal with smooth picture cause thoes games are fast! so is there any way too make that happened (my tv isnt new one hehe its middle one voyager heh)

use PAL-60 on your computers TV out if your TV can support 60Hz timing (the timing itself, some can do this)

If not, your SOL...

my tv supports max 60 hz yeah, but in my radeon card under tv format i have options like pal b (this one is now), then pal k, pal l, pal G, pal H, pal H, pal K ?

Ehh.. I am pretty sure GeForce cards support it.. ATI's drivers suck, so I don't think you'll find it...

Why don't you just buy an American Sonic & Knuckles and play it, it has no regional lock-out?

i dont own genesis anymore, and good unharmed catridge is hard too find these days. its like i have LCD monitor, i played all ntch games on lcd screen till now, i just played with my tv today and i wondered if i can manage too get amerikan on it my pal tv with smooth playing

Considering this search, the fact that there are Atari 2600 cartridges older than me which works like new even today and that the Genesis is easy and cheap to get in good condition, I think you should invest in a system and cartridge instead of asking people how to play illegal stuff on your LCD.

If it works on your LCD, why not just use that? A computer's TV output isn't the same as a Genny output anyway.. you'd be hard pressed to get the 240p mode, let alone the same chroma distorion that made the genesis do fake transparencies right...

I did used LCd, and im still using it, i just played with Tv today and i was wondering aobut that too thats all (its better too solve this problem and buy new TV, wich supports other regionns, since old one dosent i guess)......and Zebbe...im asking people how too play on my TV smoother! , and about illegal, hoe do you know its illegal, maybe i have legal copy rom from afriend who made a rom - there is nothing ilegal there! i feel you being rude right now when i just trying to play some stuff on pal old TV - and about thoes catrideg, i checked all ebay about that, and that is used stuff, and catriges can get fuktup easly, you cant even know if its original, they make copes as well and saying they are originals, roms will last forever, its a way how games will get preserved, so dont tell me about ilegal, jzs

dude, you just put yourself in a hole. we know it's illegal, because you can only have a ROM, you made from your own cartridge! And giving that ROM to a friend is illegal..

and i will tell you about illegal, my neighbor is a lawyer, so i know the legal system quite well... compared to you...

Zebbe: S&K does have region protection...

maybe i made rom myself from my catridge ! there is always a way you can get away with it, and i can buy one used, for proof if someone will sue me

my uncle is eletrci ingeneer, and he made a modul wich dupms gameboys and 16 bit catrides! We may very well use ROMs, but we don't go on a forum asking for help about them.

If you want help with your ROMs, go to an emulation forum. This one is for the real hardware, to be honest.

Oh, and ROMs don't last forever, the physical medium they are put on will fail.

If anything, the ROMs in the cartridges themselves will last longer, because they can't be written too..

i ask not about roms, but about TV pal radeon output, i could say any other pc game for that matter or anything else in ntch, rom wasnt the point here, the point here was you people attacing here all the way.

It does? At least not with Sonic 3 penetrating it, that's for sure. Penetration nullifies lock-out.

You have no idea how stupid you sound right now.

By passing along ROMs, data gets corrupted over time, like word of mouth.. This invalidates the authenticity of the dump, especially SMD format dumps, even when converted to .BIN, they will never have the same checksum, due to an extra header.

Only a REAL fan of a Sega system would keep, and keep in good condition, a real system and cartridge. Not only that, emulation isn't perfect, only the real system is.

One point is that you can solve your problem by playing legal.

there are so many media on wich you can save that shit then im not even going too bother sayining all that, cause it logic! and new media gets created every year - (i have my roms saved and recorded on many different media, so the chance is you will get your catridge fuktup and broken before my roms! ;)

if your screwing up your cartridges, then perhaps you need to learn something called CLEANING... A ROM cartridge will last a long time..

I mean, if that was untrue, my old Atari 2600 cartridges wouldn't still be working, and all of them still work fine.
