That looks a lot better than I thought it would. I would give it a shot.
To me it just seems like one of those "Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should do it" kind of deals. Its cool whats hes doing dont get me wrong, but I could never play more than 3 minutes of that game.
I'm going to have to agree with AD2101.
I'm impressed that he is doing it, but the world was doing alright without "DOOM" on the NES.

Whatever happened to that NES port of GTA?
Just having the 3D room move around and sprites scale so smoothly is impressive for the nes hardware, too impressive perhaps, I wonder if it really is running on a real nes, or at least an emulator at nes speed.
it's an emulator, that's for sure, the NES's signature chroma distortion isn't present..
I'm not sure if the nes is technically capable of doing such things, it might just be a fake animation. I'd want to see a playable rom or an explanation on how it works before I'd be convinced its real, is there a website for this project?

Yeah, those TI games are always impressive, even if they're just a shadow of the originals they're trying to imitate. I used to code games for TIs; can't imagine the effort it took to program that. It's even got multiplayer over a link cable!

Anyways, you are comparing 2D games to 3D games. (and there's no such thing as a 1D game!)
Sure it looks empty at the moment, but just getting a 3D room rotating smoothly is a feat itself. The nes is a console designed for 2D, so anything true 3D on it is impressive.
While it will probably make a crap game to play, as a technical achievment its great.
From what I've heard, ary is using a German-to-english voice translator and that's why his posts are garbled.
But would a translator add more letters? If it does, Ary, try using Google's translator, it's very well done.
of course i'm not in any position to give advice but there ya go :p
I'm more surprised the translater knows what "NES" is ;) and has the word "idd" in it's dictionary, which makes non sense at all..

some things i found about this tech demo is a problem with some textures.
fast forward to 0:04 - 0:06 to see what i mean.
