Good call on Hyperstone Heist. I played that the other day with my nephew, who'd never played the game in his life, and even he commented on how we both completed it in our first sitting with little trouble.

to be fair, ghouls 'n ghosts has infinite continues so you can beat it in one sitting. You' ll die like twice a minute though haha
Ghouls 'n Ghosts isn't 'easy' but every single level follows pretty much a pattern, after beating it for the first time it's a cakewalk.
Then when you've figured everything out it's very very short as well.
Ghouls n' Ghosts isn't easy. People are waaaay overestimating their skills. It's easy to play, but outright beating that game on 1 credit is a goddamn nightmare. That takes skill.
On practice mode (which is the default iirc) the game is quite easy, not to mention that it's based on the US version with very forgiving checkpoints, and infinite continues.
Now if you want a challenge you just play arcade difficulty with only 1 credit, it's challenging but it's still pretty doable.
I have never played that but I am keeping my eye out for it to add to my collection. I'm a huge fan of the JP franchise and have Jurassic Park on the Mega Drive and Mega CD and Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition but, for some reason, I never got round to playing The Lost World: Jurassic Park. If memory serves, and unlike the previous two JP games on the Mega Drive, isn't the gameplay viewed from a top-down perspective rather like the first JP game on the SNES? Is it a fairly easy game?
What helps G'nG(at least this version) is that the weapon you need to complete it is actually powerful, unlike most games in the series.
Great recommendation with Fire Shark. I have never heard of this game, the arcade original or the Genesis port. While it doesn't do anything really different, it is a lot of fun and very polished. I am on level 4-I would say it isn't exactly easy, but it seems fair. Thank you for this!
I've played a couple more games recently:
Space Invaders '91-Does Space Invaders really have an end? Well, this one does-17 stages with 2 levels each. I really liked this one, some nice power-ups and it plays really well. I like the graphic style of this version compared to the more industrial look of the PS1-era versions (put out by Activision, I think?). Nobody mentioned this one, and I think it is both easy and short.
The Punisher - I cannot believe how well this game translated over to the Genesis. Very tight controls and I really like the graphic style. I am still working on the last level, so I can't say its "easy" but I didn't have much trouble up until this point. My favorite 16-bit genre is the beat-em up (Streets of Rage, Final Fight, etc). Not as good as those, but really solid.
'Just recently beat Power Rangers and World Heroes. Both very very easy. I used the Red Ranger and Kim Dragon respectively.
If both Genesis Power Rangers games are also like the 8-bit cunterparts (Game Gear), then "The Movie" should be just as easy on the Genesis.
