These should release a physical copy. Now I know that the game is fairly small. But there is easily enough Sonic content out there to fill a BR disc. Interviews with people from Sega that worked on various Sonic games, episodes of a few Sonic cartoons, FLAC/MP3 tracks, Sonic commercials, etc.
Considering the amount of 2d games that have gotten a physical release over the years I have to say I agree with you about this.Quote:

There is evidence that they may be actually planning to expand Mania for retail sale, found within the game’s code. Additional characters labeled “A” and “M”, two deleted levels, a full Egg Reverie, and the “Project Plus” branch found on Steam... but tossing in bonus features, like the three remakes Taxman did, interviews, commercials, social media clips, etc. would be a tasty treat.Quote:

Getting the switch version. Genesis cover and to have a cartridge inside the case. Only feels right. Glad I waited. Would have made more sense if it said SEGA CD rather than Genesis.
