Sounds like this is gonna be delisted September 2nd. Get it while you can! I assume this is a remake of a Genesis game. I never played it but I figured you guys would want this info. Sept 1st in Japan.
That's why I own the original.
I really enjoyed this remake too. Remakes rarely seem to get much love from fans of the original, but I honestly think this was a pretty decent attempt.
hmmm how does steam handle that? I own the game, I'd still be able to play it right? I mean. I know I don't "own" anything I pay for on steam, i'm just renting them for a long time.... hmmm I did some research and the way I understand it is. since I bought it when they still had the license, I will be able to play it still, but nobody else, after September 2nd, will be able to pay for the privilege to play it.
If you bought it before then then it will stay playable on your system/pc. You'll also be able to redownload it if you ever get a different console/pc, you just need to log into your account again. But after that date noone will be able to buy it so they can't redownload it or anything.
If they sold keys for the game they should still be good for a while after that date tho. So technically some people might be able to "buy" it still, just not directly from the store.
Scott Pilgrim has been delisted too but you can actually still buy download codes from best buy I think. I think it's actually been delisted a couple years actually.
You will own and continue to be able to download Castle of Illusion unless for some reason you decide to just like, sell your Steam account to make a new one.Quote:

I have it and have for awhile and it's not all that good. Thankful at least it's tied to my android googleplay account but I have it on Game Gear and it plays far better on there.
I hear it's been delisted on all consoles, it's still on steam.

Sega delisted the game on XBL/PSN early. It stinks, but that could be something to do with updates only being rolled out at certain times.Quote:

I like that they announced that it was being delisted ahead of time tho. I wish all companies would do that.
