I don't see the reason to throw a fit when other people have a differing opinion. I can see why people would think that the price is not ridiculous as that's what these are going for now and they're harder to find than other consoles. But I happen to find that an NES going for $60+ is ridiculous considering that they're all over the place. A Sega CD going for $100 isn't ridiculous compared to the NES price, but I think that an NES should never go for that much in the first place.

I don't know what you guys are on about with all the soccer references (guess it's a european thing or something). Anyway, a good tip for finding a cheap Sega CD is looking for a Model 2 that won't turn on on eBay. All you need to get one of those back into full working order is to solder on a new fuse (2.5A). I got lucky since my desk fan uses the same amperage fuse and came with a spare, so I just soldered wires directly to the fuse and put that in the Sega CD, so now I have a fully working one that I got for ~$40. I wouldn't recommend buying the Sega CD Model 1 due to the fact that it has the same capacitor issues as the Game Gear (while the M2 uses through-hole caps that are less likely to fail), and they have mechanical issues due to the tray loading drive.
