EA Games and Origin quietly bans an entire country

Yay for modern digital gaming era and the craziness that is EA and Origin. :p ... PS, that new Origin is also still much worse then the original to the point that it even adds extra lag to online gaming. Lesson? When one asks themselves if Origin can get any worse? The answer is always yes. Yes it can. There's a reason why on BioWare forums it's always always referred to as lolOrigin.

For those who just want to complain before checking exactly what's going on: what happens is that they're complying with the US embargo that prevents US companies from dealing with certain countries. So technically the US government is at fault here.

You can blame the US, you can blame the country being restricted (or their government), it really doesn't matter.

This is sensationalism at its finest, but the only thing EA is really guilty of in this instance is poor communication and customer service.

Yes. They make great background noise while I cook some grub, since they put up a video every day it's very easy to count on them. I mostly enjoy them for their humour. Some great laughs to be had every now and then. I discovered them when I seen them do a trailer review for new female Ghostbusters and though that one's guys impression of the new Ghostbusters was very funny and well done.

But I actually found about about this topic before I seen they had a video up on this, because I frequently frequent the new unofficial BioWare forum since I'm always playing ME3mp. And it was mentioned in that lolOrigin thread.

The last few years alone has seen some seriously quality releases.
