My neo geo has rgb scart but in megadrive 1 the stereo jack actually has stereo I believe. Wondering of it's the same with aes. My AES is PAL has a serial number of 22.861

I had an AES years ago and my memory is that I got everything from the one jack.
It isn't the same shape of pins as Mega Drive though and the wiring is also different. There isn't any limitation for stereo sound with that size of DIN plug though, as PC Engine hardware uses the exact same kind and same wiring and they all do stereo.
Sega must have purposely limited the MD's jack to save a few pennies to offset the cost of the headphone jack.
