I never got all the hate for the Streets of Rage 3 soundtrack. It's not as good as part 2 and just a bit different and techno sounding but I still liked it a lot.

Basically, it's because when you have a game with a great soundtrack, people usually expect the sequel's soundtrack to be either as good or better, like with Sonic 1, 2, then 3's soundtracks.
