So I bought this handheld clone that looks very identical to the PSP slim, made of brittle plastic though, cost me only $20. But for $20, it's not half-bad and it plays Genesis games, LOTS of them. I think it has a GOAC in it with a built-in multi-cart and comes with a 2nd multi-cart. It actually sounds better than the ATgames clone believe or not, even though it still sounds like crap. But compared to the ATgames audio, it sounds fairly decent (it's mono only though of course). It has both PAL and NTSC modes, but it defaults on PAL mode. Also has an AV out but in PAL only (NTSC is only available on the handheld by unplugging the AV out cables apparently). But the only way to get NTSC mode enabled is to keep plugging in the AV out cables and then unplugging them, the handheld mysteriously then switches to NTSC mode. I have no idea why it does this, and would like to find out how to make it play on NTSC by default, because it gets really inconvenient to have to keep plugging in and unplugging the AV cords every time I reset to the multi-carts' menu (or when switching multi-carts).
Here's my shoddy review of it (warning, your ears may bleed from the handheld's speaker sound):

There's a lot more other reviews of it on youtube with better camera quality than my cell phone's.
So I'm wondering, can anyone possibly think of any theories on how to figure out a way that I can set this thing to NTSC by default without having to plug and unplug the AV cables all the time?
I was thinking of replacing the TRS AV out jack with a tact switch and by pressing it maybe it would set it to TV mode, then go back to handheld mode, setting the NTSC mode on (watch the video for more details).
