I was wondering: since the Japanese language is no more an option, would it be possible to fit other (already done) languages like the two other versions, as a compensation ?
In any case, it would be sad if the "Japanese version" would become English-only while others are multi-lingual... if it's only a matter of burning the proper ROM to a given cartridge, I imagine it could be easy to do ?
For example, the only reason I bought the Japanese version was because the Multi-Language European one was sold out but I would not mind if you put the English/French/German ROM into my "Japanese" cartridge version now ;)
Shoot I preordered this eons ago but it must have been my outdated school email that I gave at the time...
Now to hunt down a Pier Solar team member to confirm the order, new email, and new address!!!
That is a good idea actually!
It is pretty ironic that I am the one who actively fought against the idea of you guys doing multiple language versions at once instead of English-only, yet I end up among those whose game is incomplete and English-only (presumably with a manual that was printed when the game was planned to feature both languages).
If the Japanese cart features the English/French/German ROM optimized for 60Hz, I certainly wouldn't complain.
edit: disregard

Hi,
Sadly the Japanese language has been removed due to lack of proof readers.
We made several appeals with no response.
The Japanese version will now have ENGLISH + FRENCH + SPANISH languages.
If this causes a real issue, we can change the ordered version but this will
be examined on a case by case basis.
We can provide a refund but only if you intended to use purely Japanese as
your choice of language.
Best Regards,
Matt

I don't really care, as long as it has English. I just wanted to use this gif somewhere
As long as my cart has the Japanese art style and English language, I'll be happy. That's the entire reason I ordered it. Anything else would've just been MEGA POWER filler anyway.
hahahahah! exactly!
Seriously, I fought against waiting several years for dozens of translations to be finished, then ordered the Japanese version with English/Japanese which then got trimmed down to English-only (which is not what I ordered) and when I asked if it'd be possible to have the ENG+FRE+GER version in a Japanese box (as I happen to speak German) they come up with the glorious idea of providing me with an ENG+FRE+SPA version ?
What would I want an ENG+FRE+SPA version for ?!
I don't get why so many people ordered the JP version although they would never play it in Japanese, but now that the Japanese is cancelled, it's all of a sudden very important that the language is there (although it wouldn't be used), so important that they want another version with other langauges now.
Well, you sold something, and now try to tell me I don't need what I ordered and should be happy with something else.
Anyway, check your PMs. I am sure we can get this resolved somehow.
Well, I will be very happy if my copy of the japanese version includes ENGLISH + FRENCH + SPANISH. Mainly of course because my native language is spanish. Great for me! :D
Hi guys.
I've been raging for the past few days about no Japanese in the JP version. My neighbors are concerned. I think they might call the police. Maybe you can put random JP katakana characters in there to appease me? I'll never know since I can't read it! RAGE!
Honestly though, I chose the JP version since that style of box art appealed to me. I wouldn't mind the US style art, either. It really doesn't matter in the long run, though. It's not going to sit in the middle of the shelf surrounded by other Genesis games because the box will be bigger, so matching the style is of little importance, just so long as you can tell it is for Mega Drive/Genesis.
Well, that's typically the problem. you would like German because you're German. You have to understand I wanted French because i'm French (top of that its me who decide). No, seriously...
Don't forget translating a game from the 90's (dead rom) and translating a NEW game is NOT the same deal.
Well, I go back on it :) Thanks.
