Can't wait to play username's Mega Drive game :D.
um, is the webpage still accepting orders? A person on another forum pointed this out, and it looks like it is.
No, it's not possible. Give it a shot, and you'll see :D.
Thanks for your and the other's efforts on this project Zebbe!
I did get my preorder in and can't wait until you guys are confidant enough to release the game. It's nice to see someone show some pride in what they're doing!
Okay, just following up. Zebbe, have you followed the thread on this at Atariage?
http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic...-genesis-game/
oops, accidental double post, not sure why.
No, I haven't checked up on that thread uptil now, but I know Daniel, one of our graphic artists, visits that forum.
I wasn't directly responding to you, just commenting generally.
If the team decides they want to release the game on current platforms then good for them. I was just putting things in perspective for those who might think that a current-gen would be a realistic proposition, because it really wouldn't. All the issues that have plagued Pier Solar thus far would be greatly exacerbated by having to keep up with the demands and expectations of third parties and a legitimate customer base. These guys are hobbyists, through and through - I'm sure they'd potentially work well as individuals within separate organisations, but as their own entity they're not exactly organised or efficient.
You'll be glad to know that the reaction to Pier Solar pretty much killed whatever ambition I had for finishing my own game, so it aint happening. Oh well. I guess next time you can try addressing my points instead of making barely-relevant passive-aggressive comments.
^ What was your game if I may ask ? Is there a playable beta / demo ?
I am really looking forward to this game!
I pre-ordered it a while ago, and was worrying a bit until the shipping confirmation e-mail came in. I got a Sega CD model 2 not too long ago, and it'll be cool to play the game with CD-quality music.
Uh oh, there's that unfathomable entitlement logic again.
"I'm gonna make a game just like you guys! ... Wait, pfft... You know what... You don't deserve my game! I'm taking my toys and going home. Who's WITH ME?! ... Guys? ... Guys?!"

"FINE!"

Why delete all the info on your game? I read it and didn't see anything wrong at all with it.
I don't get what Pier Solar has to do with its ultimate failure either. I certainly haven't seen many or even any complains about the fact it's being made on an archaic system, since it's obvious that its target audience is for people who want to play a new Genesis game, and any problems PS has had shouldn't decide what you do or not. Did you even program anything, or was it all only an idea?
I think the above picture says it all :D next thing you know Pier Solar's gonna be the scapegoat for any homebrew games that run into problems.
EDIT: you know what, fuck it
I promise I won't comment on it any further, provided I don't get any more pathetic 'well let's see YOUR game, then!" retorts from the PS crew. Game development does not take place in some ivory tower far from the gaze of we mere plebians, especially not game development conducted by a bunch of hobbyists via the internet.
