Pier Solar: Official Thread

Y'know, if my earlier expectations of Pier Solar were based on this brief video and not that godawful demo from forever ago then I probably would have pre-ordered. Seriously, why didn't anyone at WM want the world to see this years ago? It's a considerable step up from the pics/demo you were showcasing previously, especially in regards to the battle system. If you'd only been willing to reveal more of the game before launch you might have sold all your preorders to actual willing customers before the scalpers could usurp the market:lol: Oh well.

Hey, some scalpers actually believed in the game and knew that people would want it once they got to see the finished product. I couldn't believe my eyes how long it was available when it should have sold out within a couple of weeks at least. It just sat there for an eternity.

Like I said, if they'd spent the last two years pimping this Pier Solar and not that other piece of crap it probably would have.

The game has been sold out because of the delay, not because of any scalpers (actually there was one scalper but it didn't order more than 0.5%). The quantity available had no equivalent in the retro market.

Now regarding the point of NOT leaking and leaking content of the game, its a choice we made (in two years we would have leaked the entire game). People who could trust us for more than two years are rewarded, its perfectly normal.

Also its been a year we released new screenshots and youtube video from "final" state of the game.

I got mine yesterday, yay :)

Order #237 has still not arrived. This is not acceptable. Orders to the Caribbean should have been shipped first! It's not like I have crystal-clear water, white, sandy beaches, and bikini-clad females to keep me busy! I need my Genesis game!

I requested that they ship yours LAST. Yours exists, but it's just sitting there in China listening communist propaganda. It will be shipped out on April 1.

Username you're a total nightmare on these boards. I cant believe you are describing the demo they worked hard on as "god awful". Get a grip it was a great demo and stop being a troll.

It's not actually confidential, the game comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Japanese style designs are xxx/800, it only needs to be determined whether each design (and/or the posterity package) has its own number pool.

With lots of people in the US getting it on Monday and Tuesday. I really really thought I might get it in the mail today, Wednesday.

My mail was delivered and still no Pier Solar :( I hope I get it before the weekend.

I'm also hoping my copy arrives before the weekend. Damn Lousy post office :mad:

It's definitely more than 800 total, so I should say so. I'll be getting preorder ID #827, and I've seen people posting about having numbers well over a thousand.

Haven't seen any over two thousand though...

There's already 800 copies per edition, that's for sure, so that makes 2400 copies minimum. I've got number 118/800, Japanese edition. Then, there is the back-up copies for those lost in shipment or damaged by the postal services... No one knows how many of them exist except for the Development Team.

The game is really really great. I've been playing it all day! The story has many twists which keep you stuck to your controller. The fights get harder pretty quickly and I've spent quite some time doing some good old fashioned leveling. I'm really loving it... I feel like being 12 again, I'm back in 1993! That's priceless.

I didn't get it today, but I did get two Marvel trade paperbacks (X-Men: Asgardian Wars and Avengers: The Contest) from Amazon.

Cold, cold comfort.
