woowiee
I want to see a video with the following:
Graphics = Mega CD version
Music = Mega Drive version.
Please post!
You will hear the music from the Mega Drive version in the demo. About the graphics... Hmm, I'm pretty sure the towns will look exactly the same in both versions, and you already see a bit of that in the video :).
but u sed graphics = mega drive version and dat insinuates dat mega cd version will have different grafx pleez post!
Anyway I imagine for the video the music was just added for it and not actually playing in the Mega CD player while the game was running... right?
Damn right. Otherwise you would have heard sound effects in the battle.
Psyched for the demo! Can't wait! Random question that just occured to me, though - will the DC version of the game run on PC via emulation if you load it from the disc in the drive? A friend of mine was asking about it and since he doesn't have a Mega-CD, it made me wonder if he could still buy the disc and play it on his PC. I'm guessing it's probably not going to happen, though. Possible?
The CD-version (no DC- version, sorry:D) will not run on emulators....if it did we would have ISOs floating around the www the day after launch.
Hmm, yeah, that's what I figured. I was hoping maybe it could be played directly from the disc, but alas and alack, it cannot be. As for th DC-version, that was a typo, but nevertheless, I balme Christuserloser for everything. EVERYTHING.
So, are you going to have some copyright protection so people can't rip it in the first place, or make it so burned copies won't work on a Sega CD? I hate to be an asshole and bring it up, but I bet it will be ripped the day of release and people will easily be able to burn it, and run it on real hardware. How are you going to combat that?
As for not being able to run on emulators. I'm about to build a HTPC and also use it for emulation, among other uses. What about the people who buy it legally, and have a PC hooked up to a TV and play their games that way? That sucks, since I can't always carry a Genesis setup with me.
I feel like I may be coming off as rude, but I don't mean to be... but I'm just curious here.
We will do everything to make the game unplayable via emulator at least; and that is not even hard to do. No chance for your HTPC, sorry.
About ISOs being played on real hardware, well, we will see how fast the game will be cracked....;)
But naturally I cannot give away our security measures.
Piss. since I just bought a home-made Genesis-pad to USB converter, and I'm not one who can always carry a genesis and Sega CD system with me.
I feel like reminding you all:
