OK now I'm in the underground part, past the Rock Cellar part, after a downward slide that I can't go back up, so I'm basically stuck to 2 diff. levels of ground, but nowhere to go that I see. I just opened a chest for the Linnaei book (No ladder? Read on!). I don't know if I'm supposed to use that book but I don't see how to use it, or where.
When I use the notebook, Alina just keeps saying, "Our destination is the Secret Society of Teusa Village." Any hints guys?

If you already used the book, the spell should show up in Hoston's spell list now... it's the only spell he can cast outside of battle.Quote:

If no-one else is entering the contest then I doubt you'll need to do anything "extraordinary" to win. Really, though, limiting the competition to people who already bought the game seems like a strange thing to do - wouldn't it better serve WM to come up with a different promotion that's open to everyone, in order to generate a wider interest in Pier Solar?Quote:

Seriously though, I think the real intention is to work adainst people seeing a game only as collector's piece. Like when we were kids and ripped posters out of our comic books and pinned them to the wall and put the sticker on the fridge instead of putting it into a plastic bag never to be touched again.
@username: Oh, what a great idea! Give away a Nomad with a new less battery-draining screen and customly painted plastic case to someone has NOT supported us by NOT buying our game. It doesn't make any sense, as one of the competition's points is to get more people interested in ordering the game (which is what all these kinds of competions are all about, anyway).
Any update on when a new batch of Polo Solo will be made? I'd loooooove to buy it again to support WM and for a plastic case!!
You can pre-order Polo Solo again some short time after the first reprint run had shipped, which is around the 14th.
That's a fair point, I know plenty of people (myself included) who are guilty of hoarding all that pre-order junk. I do wonder if your contest is going to be enough to counter the allure of flipping a pristine copy of the game on eBay for big profit, but it's worth a shot, I guess.Quote:

I mean, if you're not even willing to send out review copies then I can understand why you haven't come up with anything more substantial in terms of promotion, but seriously, don't you think you can do better?
Man, stop trolling. Contest will be still ON when the reprint will be received.
And its something for piersolar buyers, nothing else.
The thing is, though, that they didn't need to be hidden anywhere. Just have it appear somewhere else off-screen so the user has to go and look for it, but not look behind walls/pillars for it. The challenge would have still been there, but a lot less frustration would have arisen, for sure.Quote:

In other words, I would want it so that the player is encouraged to keep trying. It is sometimes a difficult thing to do, but I would never want to frustrate the player.
