The Cave of Evil is an optional dungeon, so all you really do there is grab some extra loot.

On a different subject, can ANYBODY give me some pointers on where to find the key that opens all those orange locked chests that keep popping up? I assume it's somewhere between Mutch and Ludon, but I'm not 100% sure...

Don't be so eager to get it... you just wrote you like Wukong, so if Wukong is what you enjoy you will probably hate Pier Solar. :D

Because I think that nobody from our team likes Wukong, so a game we do would basically be exactly the opposite of Wukong. ;)
Beggar Prince is a game I like, and hopefully SO will be too, but Wukong? No.

Well, on the one hand, you've got a turn-based RPG with Wukong. So, based on that (being exactly the opposite), if Pier Solar turns out to be this sports title with shmup, platforming and one-to-one fighting elements combined, then I promise I'll love it just the same. ;)

Granted, the exact opposite would not be an RPG; yet I still think we are hopefully as different from Wukong as possible within the genre limits. :P

And I can't wait to play it. I know you guys added so much detail, not only to graphics and music, but also to gameplay. I've seen vids on the battle sequences and they're exquisite. I know I will cherish it. ;)

There is no question that you will cherish it, especially since you're starting off with such a positive attitude. :cool: The game is great so with such a positive outlook, yes you're going to love it. Which edition did you order?

Standard reprint. :) I've got the complimentary disc from the site burned and ready to go. I'm on a Genny RPG rampage/marathon right now. :D Won't stop till I own/finish them all.

Or, as it can also happen with a positive attitude... expectations rise and rise, and in the end no game can live up to them! :D

I'm very much into my MD right now too... and just found out that Phantom 2040 has a story with cutscenes in the US version! Cut out of the PAL-version. Damn, I hate it how differently players from around the world were treated sometimes back then!

Now I need a US version!

I think we all know how you guys feel about Wukong, considering how much you mention it. I'm just saying that not everyone feels the same way you do.

I like it, but then again Shaq Fu is my favorite fighting game and I absolutely adore Operation Darkness for 360. So my opinion really does not count at all. However, I do know If you set out to play a game in order to have fun (like I do) then pretty much no game can be a disappointment. In fact I played that Barney game with my Ex-girlfriend for like an hour and it was a blast (I wonder why she broke up with me). I hope to have the same enjoyment with Pier Solar as I had with that Barney game!
