The funny thing is I did just that. I have little interest in RPGs, but I've always been a big believer in "supporting the scene" as it were with local music and other interests. What bothers me is the absolute ignorance and stubborn attitude insisting something is which it is not. The strong possibility, in my opinion at least, exists that such a frame of mind could extend to the game itself. What is "acceptably buggy" to the team? What if the game crashes after ten minutes of play? "Oh, well, lots of homebrew stuff is buggy, so accept it" or "just be glad you're playing a new Genesis game" would be possible responses, at least based on this precedent. Though I certainly wish the team well, I don't think this level of QA bodes well for the final product, and it's a potential headache I can do without. :(
