Unless of course, the game is undumpable, which is great with me, as long as the game gets the ROM released when it's unprofitable.:p

Beggar Prince has been out for years now and hasn't been dumped yet. Legend of Wukong also hasn't been dumped yet.

So I don't see any reason why Pier Solar would get dumped right away.

Maybe a download service like DSiware, Wiiware, XBLA, PSN? Or maybe something on the PC? I still have my cartridge preordered anyways.

Although I definitely want to own a physical (real) copy of the game, I think it would be awesome to offer it on PSN, Xbox Live, Wii Live, etc. The problem is that those services might view it as an original game instead of something for the Genesis and therefore would not allow them to put it in that category since it isn't an "official" release. Maybe Sega could play nice, as I'd love to see it in the Genesis/Mega Drive section instead of just random "Wii Ware", etc. The Pier Solar team would also have to write their own emulators for each of those services as I doubt they could use the stock ones. They would likely also have to pay Nintendo, Sony, MS, etc.

^That would be sweet indeed. It'll be the closest thing to official status we could hope for (if it could happen, of course).

I'd hope people wouldn't dump these games as a sign of respect. The homebrew community is already tiny, killing off sales really wouldn't be a clever idea..

How long you think the US cover version has before being sold out? I need to figure out whether I need to go into complete spaz-out "DAD I NEED TO BORROW YOUR PAYPAL BUT I DON'T EVEN HAVE MONEY YET BUT I NEED TO GET THIS NOW" mode or if I can actually earn the money up first :P

US cover version should be sold out within a few months. (Don't hate me if it isn't, it's just my personal calculation)

Well, it'll take about a single month to pick up the cash, so if you estimate a "few" months I feel decently safe. Ok good. Can't wait for the game to come out.

It might happen earlier too. That was just an estimation. Pre-orders on the other two versions bumped quite a bit after the EU version sold out.
