I have a model 1 VA3 Genesis and it has started hanginger on some tones when playing Quackshot and cracking when playing Sonic 3d. I have tested both headphone and mono they both are doing it. Is this just a cap issue or is may audio chip going bad? I can up load some clips if that will help

When was the last time you cleaned cartridge slot? If that's not the case, I think problem is faulty AC adaptor or leaking caps, as you suspect.
I don't think audio chip could be going bad, there's no reason for audio chip to degrade unless exposed to external damages.
Ok I will get some clips for you tonight or tomorrow, I will also try another power cord, but I used the power cord for another system with no issues
So the real carts do not have the audio issues it's just the everdrive on this one system, it works fine in other genesis systems
The Everdrive does draw more power so it might be the power supply not providing enough juice or the caps on the power circuit going bad.
Are you using original AC adaptor?
Helder suspects the same what I do, so check your AC adaptor and/or caps inside the system. If original carts don't show the same problems, seems more like system and everdrive doesn't get enought power.
I have tried both the original power cord, and oneven I made for the Genesis model 2 and sega cd that is a 12v 2a and it displays the same thing so I will recap them and see what happens
So I found out the issue... The mega everdrive didn't like the other os' s in the mega folder so I deleted the os for the v2 and x7 and its fine.. that's just odd
So, you used wrong OS for your M-ED?
I was using the smokemonster set and it has both os' in the folder, u didn't think it would care, but I guess it does
Sure it does, as OS is being loaded from SD card.
