'Fraid so, sparky. The game controls what part of the screen you see and when you see it. You can't control the movement of the screen nor its direction. The only thing that different is that it is 2D. Thunder Force 2 wouldn't be considered a rail shooter because you can fly around at will during the overhead stages.Quote:
rails are considered to be shmups with especially limited range of motion and computer control of view angle and movement. Which aren't really qualities of the games you mentioned, IMO.
