2D scrolling perspective Sonic games tend to have more feature heavy level design. There are many paths, more verticallity, etc. The ground usually has more slopes and ups and downs, especially in naturalistic themed levels like Green Hill. You don't see many flat platforms there. Compare this to older 2D Sonic games, Sonic Mania and even Sonic Generations. You will see how Forces design looks more simple, more generic, has mostly boxy/flat surfaces to run on to, it doesn't seem to have many different paths or verticallity. Feels like a mobile runner to me.
The music sounds terrible to me but that's a matter of taste i suppose.
