Wish PS4 had backward compatibility. But no, neon lights on controllers are much more important (just noticed by DS4 that came with PS4 has now the neon light shine through a slit in the front of that touch pad thingy).
The lights are a visual enhancement for each game; kind of like a Dreamcast VMU or the rumble feature.
I can't imagine I'd want that light shining up to my face whilst I play, but I have played with an Afterglow b4.
Well the light shining in front isn't really bright or noticeable. But I still prefer the older DS4 style without the light shining in front.
As is, I dug out the other DS4 that came with console so I can swap them back and forth as their batteries die.
Seriously, should I trade in my PS4 with Andromeda & Uncharted 4 for X-Bone and Andromeda? The way I see it is I wouldn't lose as much money because I also don't enjoy playing with DS4 controller as much either, and getting that Chrono's things will cost me an extra hundred dollars, and I need a new surround sound headset with mic... grr. But then I have to start all over in MEAmp too. Sigh. I'm so regretting my decision to buy PS4 so far! Thank goodness I didn't fork over the extra cash for PS4 Pro.
I wouldn't use the CronusMax Plus for every game, though. It removes the ability to remotely turn your system back on (any system). It's more of a quick fix than a solution. But, no, I'd recommend you keep that PS4 and enjoy the Uncharted series (1, 2, 3, 4), The Last of Us, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Aragami and many more exclusives not found on the Xbone. Too many great exclusives to miss-out on just based on a controller rant. Just my opinion.
Well I do also have the limited big box edition of Dark Souls 3 for PS4 at brothers place too, I just remembered. And while I loved the Last of Us, I just never really had incentive to replay it. It was a really, really great first playthrough with one heck of a story and characters I loved so much. So that only leaves me with one exclusive that interests me. Bloodborne, which is basically like the Dark Souls games, of which I am a very big fan of.
I don't know how it is around you guys, but I've found original Xbones for about $100 in pawn shops for $100 round here, if you can find that, I'd say it's a pretty good deal if you want one and don't mind having the launch model.
^Yeah. Same here. Also on Craigslist and OfferUp. I actually prefer the OG Xbox One model myself. Looks so much cooler.
