You're a crybaby, Sci-Fi. Looking at this topic, making a big deal over nothing. I'd like a physical game as much as the next guy, but sometimes it's not optional.
Nobody is "crying" about anything. Did you even read any of the posts, or as usual, just the ones you prefer?
That topic got left behind pages ago. Nobody demanded anything. Nobody "cried about anything. Nobody even inquired. All there was initially regarding this was a statement: "Will wait for a physical release". After reacting to the dev's derisive commentary, the topic changed. But aside the usual rational folks, it only seemed to have routed instigators and trolls; some of whom are coming accross as brown nosers more than anything else, tbh.
Actually, I read your posts. Stop being a whiny bitch. There was nothing derisive over the guy's tweets and you got offended over nothing. Not every game has the luxury of getting a physical release. Some of it might be financial reasons. With Wonder Boy, it's a series that hasn't been seen since the Genesis days. You should be happy (if you are) that there is a care given to a franchise whose roots go back to the arcades and Master System. Not everything caters to you or anyone.
I said Stop It. Now.
I thought I asked you to stop. I didn't want an argument from you at all over this. Now that you've made it clear you just can't let it go, You can take a break for two days to decide if you think this fight is worth continuing.
Anyone else on both sides who can't act like adults over this is going to get a time out also.
Wooooow.
Personally, I think people who want the game should buy the digital version because you're helping the dev stay afloat, I know it's not the ideal solution but games like Hotline Miami would of never had a chance at physical release without the strong digital sales, so...
But some people absolutely refuse to buy digital because of ownership of content (I understand that, I flat out refuse to buy iTunes & Amazon movies because of the insane DRM) so they wanna hold out. Their choice really, I can't force people to do anything.
Jesus, WTF happened to this thread? Instead of talking about a much-anticipated game coming out tomorrow, people are arguing hypotheticals and involving family members. This is why we can't have nice things.
I'm buying the digital version, and if it comes out physically, great, I'll get that too. I have not trouble doing so. I bought Shovel Knight digitally on the 3DS and then got the physical release, and then bought it again on PS4 because I wanted a console version. Support to the extent you're comfortable. Buy what you want. It's not hard. I'd think this is a project worth supporting - assuming of course, that it plays as good as it looks - and I can see the room for discussion, but please keep from making things into SRS BZNS.
This would be me. Just to add to that point, as a customer, I come first, not the developer. If a digital game ends up being trash, that's money down the drain. At least with the physical copy, one can trade in, exchange with, or sell it to someone else who may enjoy it.
I don't mind this seeing as I already decided to buy it digital. I will however be more then happy to double-dip and buy a physical copy as well. I like owning physical media if I have a choice but I've bought a lot of stuff digitally as well. I don't see why some people here can't accept this.
Awesome launch trailer.
