One thing is certain: Nintendo is taking the launch of MK8D very serious.
If the Switch survives, it might be the very first Nintendo console to have two Mario Karts. MK8 Deluxe and eventually, "Mario Kart 9".
Mario Kart Wii is terrible. If you disagree, try Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart DS, so you can see standard and off-beat Mario Kart done well. Then try MKWii, you'll immediately notice how much worse the rubber-band AI is, on top of the ugly graphics, lame tracks, completely unbalanced items and frustrating controls. It's bad enough with a regular controller, it's utterly unplayable with the Wii Wheel.
No way brother. I not only tried but with frequency i did play Snes, N64, Wii and Wii U. I tried GC a bit but not guess it better than wii. In truth i only bought a Wii because i liked MKwii with Wiiremote controls and items.Quote:

I'll always have fond memories of the N64 game as that was really my era.
The GameCube one I liked at the time but as time went on I began to feel like it was pretty weak in game play and design.
GBA game was very cool, as was the DS game, kinda' lost interest after those.
There was ALWAYS "that guy" that chose Rainbow Road. Needless to say he would get arm punches or pillows tossed at him by the others.
Contrary to what a few on this board have said, it looks as if MK8D has sold very well thus far.

Starfox Wii U,... Don't forget that polished turd as well. Hell Nintendo can't even give it away for cheap hardly. It was a stupid choice to pigeon hole the control system the way they did. It would have been better if they sucked it up and patched in an option to play the game with a normal fucking control scheme instead of motion controls.Quote:
