Dawnguard added the most annoying mandatory companion waifu bait NPC ever made.

But she looked hot as hell.
Other then that, I always send companions home anyway. She was like only mandatory through a few scenes anyway.
The correct answer is Horizon Zero Dawn. This game kicks so much ass.
I just now game here to ask about Horizon Zero Dawn and noticed this as the last post too. But yeah, recall this game being mentioned/praised a few times here, and someone on the BioWare forum just today noticed gave some nice insight on his experience with this game. So, is it really all that? Is this a game that could redeem my PS4 purchase over X-Bone like maybe Bloodborne will too?

I also just seen this HCG video today, and so far I'm still not sure if I should pick it up during my next trip to a games store...
Horizon Zero Dawn is a must own. It has amazing graphics, great battles and a rock solid storyline. It's my game of the year, right now.
Alright, I'll be sure to buy it then.
Played the Witcher 3 all yesterday until I finished everything on the first map... and I am disappoint.
I though it was going to be more like skyrim open world exploring fun and the gameplay so far is boring too. While the graphics are technically better, I still enjoyed skyrim's better. Skyrim also felt more immersive too and had the better over world tunes.
The main story and written dialog plus acting is very good, meaning maybe red should have avoided open world to better focus on that and better more fun gameplay.
Anyway, just first impression and I did hear this game stars out slow. ... I'm also so buying skyrim se and fallout 4 next.
The Witcher 3 has too many side missions to do. I'm trying to buy a ticket for a boat ride to another location. The ship's captain wants 1500 and it's so hard to earn money in this game. Horizon is the better game.
Oh, the money issue is a thing that stays.
Since u mentioned side quests, they felt like such a chore and mandatory kind of feeling, where in skyrim they all felt completely optional and fun to discover and explore. Over here that first map was all flat and bland with not enough landmarks forcing u to always relie on map. Even objects in the world don't stand out forcing you into that lame forced Witcher sense vision power. There's no caves or dungeon designed levels, just a small group of enemies lazy placed over an area of interest on a boring flat over world map. So boring.
Default controls are bs too because the face buttons are the main buttons, thus being pulled away from right camera analog stick. Again, skyrim did this right years before. And again, shows the Witcher is not very well thought out from first impression.
You have to grind. It's that simple.
I don't think that Skyrim really had more dungeons, it just takes a long time in the Witcher 3 to get to your 1st one. You have to complete the missions for the Baron, before you get to a really cool dungeon in your search for Ciri. Then it's back to grinding to move to the next major event.
They had to make sacrifices to fit the back jump and roll moves. It's okay, but the camera can be a problem.Quote:

I wouldn't waste your money on Skyrim SE. The best version is Skyrim Legendary Edition for the PC, because it has all of those mods. SE looks just as bad as the original.
Played some more Witcher 3 yesterday and got as far as hunting down the witch then arriving at that cave. Stopped there for.
Yeah well when it's forced grinding, it's bullshit filler.
Like I've already said, Red should have kept this game linear and more focused as before. The way it is now is an open world game that's still linear because levels of monsters around you are different and the levels of monsters is what forces this into a linear game. The fact that quests are not marked on the map with recommended levels is also BS because it forces you to play more linear and select one quest at a time, therefore creating more wasted time playing this game due to extra backtracking because you can't do other quests on the way to other quests. "But the question marks" you say? Yeah well these don't show the levels on monster to know if heading for that question mark is a waste of time or not?
Checking the map is also BS because it needs like 1-2 seconds to load on console.
Then there's the loot system. I've stopped looting entirely except for in some spots that look important, because this game tosses so much crap (so much crap) at you and you can't even see what crap you're about to get until you click on it. Then the UI in this game that makes looking and sorting through all the crap this game tosses at you even more of a nightmare.
So everything in this game so far seems like one big waste of time as if I have nothing better to do in my life, yet because it's got beautiful graphics, characters and story, it's the new standard in open world RPGs. Are you kidding me? This game feels like nothing but a waste my time chore list so far, and this is coming from the guy with all the free time in the world.
Too late, already bought it. I really want to see what the official changes are - and my PC needs a CPU + RAM upgrade to run PC version properly. But then when I fired up the intro for PS4 I was really bummed out to barely notice any differences (though it's been ages since I've played the original). Stopped the playthrough during dragon attack since this was just a test run and I currently got two other games on my plate.
Later as I read your post I was thinking if I should return it. Thought about the bogus 30fts which is such a killer for me, then remembered "Oh no, what if this game too has monstrous load times? Then I for sure have to return it." So I did some research;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgD-dHG_JDw
^ Ok, load times are acceptable at basically 3 seconds for entering/exiting houses and I think I heard another video say about 10-15 seconds for exiting/entering towns. So I'm fine with these load times.
Then I remembered mods are now available on PS4, so I googled the one mod I wanted;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Phur7CDqas8
So looks like there are mods that improve frame rates too. Hopefully I can find one that just improves frame rate alone, without any other additions. I want the vanilla experience for as much as possible, then if I want more, I can always install other mods later.
It's a hardcore action RPG. And the best one we've seen in years, if not arguably the best. Just because you suck at it doesn't mean millions of people are wrong. ;)
