I have the SEGA CD version... might be funny to pick this up. I'm a fan of Limited Run, but don't know if I'll bother to get a physical copy. This is not an essential purchase for me.

I still haven't play my copy of Double Switch on the Saturn.
I'd rather play a remake of Sewer Shark instead. I thought that was kinda fun. lol
You are not missing much. Personally I think Double-Switch is worse than Night Trap.
That said, I will totally pick this up because I loved playing the original and the updates on it seem worthwhile. Plus the fact that it was actually shot with film stock instead of like something lower quality makes me thing that the remaster will really look quite good. I'm just wondering if the increase in resolution will make it possible to notice weird stuff in the background that was always there, but never able to really discern given the quality of the SegaCD/3D0 versions.
I would REALLY LOVE that if this does well that they remaster Ground Zero Texas and maybe Sewer Shark as well. Ground Zero Texas is personally another game that I think Digital Pictures did really well with in story execution and gameplay. A FMV video game done right if you would. Wirehead is also decent but not DP title I think.
There is a certain magic to these Sega CD FMV games that alludes to Disney World rides. Like, when you're waiting in line or you're placed in the waiting area, and you have actors (sometimes celebrities involved in the franchise) in various mini clips breaking the fourth wall and addressing you as part of the experience. I love that stuff.
As for this particular release, I may not be interested in it; but I'm glad it is being remastered like this; not only for posterity's sake, but also to, perhaps, optimize the gameplay as the OG hardware never could. FMV games were the precursors to QTEs, and I know most of them were attrociously difficult. Hopefully they address this issue, too. Heck, I've yet to beat a single one. The farthest I've ever gone in one was with Surgical Strike.
Now, show me a compilation of remastered platformers, RPGs, or shmups, and I'm there day 1.
Honestly I would buy this if it was say a collection of all the Sega FMV titles on one disc.
I'm going to attempt to buy a physical copy when it comes out
Resolution bump on this looks nice:

I guess Seinfeld wasn't the only one wearing a puffy shirt in the 90s.
