Sega already has distribution for Europe handled on their own end, to continue to work with NISA to distribute Atlus games there would just be a waste of money. Also, I don't remember the last time Atlus published a NISA game (PS2 maybe?), since they've been a pretty successful publisher for quite awhile.

The thing with NISA is that it was mutual (they used the distributors of each other in each region) and as far as I'm aware they actually did keep doing it until Sega decided to cut ties with them (don't forget: I'm talking about distribution, not publishing which is something that involves a lot more). So yeah, NISA had quite a good reason to worry about, not so much Atlus since they'd be piggybacking on Sega. Not sure how NISA is handling distribution now.

It's not fan servers you're playing on. You play on the exact same Japanese servers as everyone else. All the fan made stuff does is replace the launcher with a new one that handles all the fan made English patching so the bulk of the game is translated into English.

You can play just fine on the PS4 and Vita too as I already said. PS4 is just all in Japanese still because there's no way to install the English patch. You can still play it just fine though on a US PS4 and use your same account and characters as the PC and Vita versions. There was some work on putting the patch on the Vita version but it got abandoned when hacked Vitas could no longer access PSN. Though now that PSN spoofing is working again I'm not sure if work resumed on that.

Seriously the amount of misinformation still floating around about this game to this day is mind boggling. There's even a pretty active PSO2 subreddit that has all this information as well as plenty of other resources like PSO-World, Arks-Layer, and the PSU Blog.

To RPG fans, Atlas all over was known for bringing many niche RPGs over. You guys think this trend will continue under Sega? I don't.

Though granted Atlas still needed to merge for survival, that's not what I'm arguing. I'm just arguing it's sad what happened to Altas.

Who is "Atlas"? Ancient titan holding the earth on his shoulders? C1 spine? A detailed map of the world? Confused...

Persona 5 has actually been among the highest selling games in recent weeks. Plus, I think they've been publishing the recent King of Fighters entries.

I'm very excited and intrigued by that teaser trailer by Sega that gamevet posted! What can it mean? What do they have in store for us loyal life-time fans? I'm very excited...and intrigued...did I mention that I'm excited? :P

You guys all must be Nintendo fans, because all that trailer hinted at was another gimmick.

It goes back to the first time Thief misspelled Atlus. I think he just refuses to write it correctly.

Seeing things underlined is red gets annoying sometimes. Why I usually go for the American ways of spelling things over main English (ie. Color and Colour).
