Basically you have to get this pig (that you would normally kill) to follow you through most of a zone to reach this grass patch (that looks like every other grass patch) so he can start chewing at it and uncover the mighty Pickaxe. One of the most garbage weapons in Darks Souls 2. No way anyone could have figured this out on their own.

Check out the stupidly obscure powerup trick at 2:20. Crouch on a specific mushroom, receive godly power. Too bad the game itself is complete inscrutable garbage, otherwise this would be useful.
Not sure about how "obscure" that Athena secret is. I mean, it is in the first issue of Nintendo Power after all. ;)

Of all my times having replayed this game, I've just learned of this like 3 days ago from this video. To summarize; on several explore-able locations in the game, if you stand still in very specific locations, you can hear strange sounds.
I meant more obscure to figure out on your own, otherwise the only games getting listed are like the 2 Atari games where recently it was found devs hiding their initials somewhere. Or that new Mortal Kombat code finally found after all these years.Quote:

Isn't there a baby dragon that you can get to follow you around? I see it in some videos, but haven't found info on how you get it.
Level 7 of the original Super Mario Bros. where you have to run off certain ledges in a particular order. I remember when I played it new and I figured my game was broken because the level just went on and on until time ran out. I never played it again after that. Years later I learned how to finish the level, but it still made no sense to me. I understand there are puzzles, but was I supposed to just stumble upon this obscure pattern? Did I miss a clue earlier in the game that would have alerted me to this pattern? I know there are warp zones to get to the end, but this level just pissed me off.
There is. You get the Baby Dragon by going into the Shelcoof later in the game. Then, you can take the Baby Dragon into the Forest? and the Baby Dragon and your Dragon combine to allow him to morph into the dragons from past Panzer Dragoon games.Quote:

I thought with the ledges in SMB there is a chime when you go the right way so it is possible to figure out. I could be wrong though, it's been a long time since I played it and last time I played the game was to get my 4 year old introduced to the concept of the game.Quote:
