This isn't the first time you've mentioned Dark Souls... you like it, hm?
I haven't really played much from beyond the 360/PS4 era. Does Breath of the Wild on the Wii-U count?
You are sale is pitch?
I must have sunk months of time into playing 007 Legends on the 360 a few years ago. I got addicted to the multiplayer team death matches and I'm a HUGE Bond fan so that might explain it lol. Not exactly the best designed game in the world and it was essentially COD:007 but I loved it anyway. It was released five years ago and, to my knowledge, there hasn't been another Bond game since! Shocking... absolutely shocking.
Sales pitch? "Play through all eras of the most successful film franchise of all time. Daniel Craig is James Bond 007 in action packed FPS levels based on Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Moonraker, License To Kill and Die Another Day! Confused? You will be! Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Bond films (in 2012) it's Bond and beyond! Available for Xbox 360 and PS3. Please ask permission of the bill payer before accessing online content. Please don't scream childishly down the mic at other players and please don't camp."
Oh I read the thread wrong...lol! Brain fart...best game SINCE the 360/PS3 era? For me it has to be Alien: Isolation.
Prey. It's the best System Shock game since 1999.
Is the thread about Dark Souls or actually making a.sales pitch for games? Just so I can clean up that title gore.
The later.
The Witcher 3
...The most immersive action RPG ever made.
Resident Evil 7 the best game I've played this or last generation, simply the game I enjoyed playing the most from start to finish.
So, let me get this straight, are being asked to state a case for the game we think is the best...
1) On the PS3 / Xbox360 generation?
2) After the above generation?
3) Or both generations above?
If it's 1), for me it's The Last Of Us. I haven't played as much from this gen as others, hardly as much, but this game really got me. I was totally hooked and think about it often. It's one of the best entertainment experiences I have ever had, it's comparable to movies and novels that I love in this regard (not as in, a game can be better than a novel, or a novel can be better than a movie, those are impossible comparisons) because it touched a nerve and got me involved emotionally. I think the very realistic graphics helped convey that, as did the stellar acting and production values.
Really, really great game.
If we're talking scenario 2) then scratch all that.
3, cleeg.
Was anyone actually confused with the original title about who the "salesman" was? :?
