What do you think of the difficult of "Battletoads & Double Dragon"?

Typically the consensus seems to be that its a lot easier than Battletoads and while it is hard, its not brutal. But I was watching Mike Matei play it on youtube and he said something to the effect of it being one of the hardest games ever. I generally respect his opinion so I though I would reconsider the topic and ask youz your opinions. I've never played it all the way through but I think I got about halfway and I don't remember anything too difficult.

So on a scale of Sonic the Hedgehog to the hardest game you've ever played how would you rank it? :p

Not sure if that Mike Matei fellow is the one two trust when gauging console game difficulty. Don't he and the AVGN think NES Contra is ball-breakingly hard as well? They're not really serious gamers as far as I can tell dude.

Mike Matei is better at games then James Rolfe, and even heard him defend harder games in front of James a few times past 2 months. Mike Matei can also beat Zelda 1 without the sword or some similar crazy challenge, but it is his favorite game.

Mike Matei regularly posts videos of himself beating many very difficult games, so I'd say he's a pretty serious gamer.

Those 2 can be all over the place about what they consider challenging. I'm with the general consensus on this one. Not as brutal as the original, but still challenging in it's own right.

Challenge can be relative. Some people might have faster reflexes, while others might have better memories, making different types of games challenging.
