I was thinking of getting myself one of those 3-in-1 power adapters for the Genny/CD/32X combo.
I keep on getting referred to Retro Game Cave, but they are not what you'd call 'cheap' over there (taking what they charge for int shipping also into account). And besides, they're almost always sold out.
I own one for my Model 2 Genesis, 32X/Sega CD. The damn thing was worth every penny. I love having this thing just for the ability of not having a total of 3 power hogging units where this only takes one slot. It's a lil pricy now compared to when I got mine but I can't tell you enough how damn awesome the thing is.

Yeah, that is hefty.
The one good thing about that particular brick for me is that it's also compatible with the X'Eye. Years ago I was able to pick that system up relatively cheap, but there was no power supply included.
Yeah having the unit is something I would suggest 100% going after Henry.
I bought a supply for my CDX, good service and pretty quick too. There are some voltage differences but they are addressed on the site so I assume it's OK. It works well enough I think...

I use a modified GameCube power supply on my Genesis model 1/32x/Model 1 CD combo. It is excellent! My only complain would be that the individual supply lines are a tad too short at only about 4 feet each give or take. Still, it is very nice not having to use 3 separate outlets when only 1 is needed now. Additional bonus is that due to the high amperage that the 'cube' supply can provide, I could run my CDX or an X'eye (If I ever get another one), off the same model 2 adapter plug attached to this that I use for the 32x currently.
I had a user at AtariAge make it up for me btw, but I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult to make on your own.
I have a SEGA Trio, and it works flawlessly. Really glad I was able to get one.
Ok so they seem pretty much on the ball thus far. Item has been shipped and tracking number provided. Now for the wait..
This thread spurred me to get one of their adapters for the AV Famicom. Like with Thierry, tracking number provided very quickly. I may pick up one of their Atari XL/XE adapters once those are back in stock. They even have a C64 replacement, but it requires the use of a Western NES PSU for the 9V AC. But now I know there's a replacement available if I ever take the C64 plunge.

To be fair, not their fault. Customs clearance and delivery service in this neck of the woods can be absolutely dreadful.
Anyways so I had ended up ordering an 2-in-1 power adapter for Atari Jaguar + CD add-on, 3-in-1 for Genesis Model 1 + Sega CD + 32X, and a 2-in-1 for the CDX + 32X.
The main PSU's are of identical specs.

They then supply the different tip size depending on which console it will be for.

Not noted on their site and I haven't confirmed it for myself yet either, but the above should also work on a Model 1 Genesis + Model 1/Model 2 Sega CD.
With the power cords (which I also bought from them) that plug into those PSU's, total length of cord is of about 9 feet.
I tested for quite a length of time one of the PSU's for the CDX + 32X. Seems to work as advertised. The power unit only got mildly warm to the touch.
Those are identical specs to a gamecube power supply. Mine looks like standard genesis or SMS adapters had their cords cut and then were soldered internally where needed and with correct polarity back out for use. I have plenty of overall, but with the way my systems sit and how I route the cabling to minimize them from view, it was a stretch to get them to reach where needed as I stated.Quote:
