The 64KB of memory is using compressed files at a rate of something like 9/32, or somewhere over 28%. The 64KB of memory is storing more data, because of compression, just like the 512KB of audio memory on the PlayStation is holding more data than the 512KB audio memory of the Saturn.
I'd heard that the Z80 streams audio files for the PSG, while the 68000 handles the files for the PWM part. The music slows down whenever the 68000 gets bogged down.Quote:
