Varies. Right now, you can't get me out of 16 and 8 bit. Sometimes I'll purchase N64 games or even the odd gamecube game. All depends on what I find.
Latest; everything below the Dreamcast era is on hold at the moment while I enjoy next-generation stuff.
Yeah, but it disturbs me how easily these people can just brush off the history behind the industry. I don't give a damn if they think that Apple 2 games are unplayable; they had damn well better acknowledge that the Apple 2 existed. Without earlier experiments in the field, after all, where would they have gotten their fucking Playstations anyway?Quote:

I don't know why, but reading this thread has inspired me to invest in more Mega Drive games. The passionate rants about 16-bit love are very inspiring.
On what grounds?Quote:

Definitely 16-bit. It might just be the fact that I was at that easily influenced age when Sega was at its prime and I just bought into the idea that the Genesis and POGS were the greatest things ever invented. I still feel like that, so retro all the way!!!
On the grounds that most of its games suck, and Atari 800 (not to mention Commodore 64) is way better. :PQuote:

Bah. Apple II had some amazing adventure titles for its time.Quote:

What adventure titles were only available on (or at least better on) Apple II? A lot of adventure titles were multiplatform.Quote:

All the really old, 8-bit, basic-feeling adventure games just don't do it for me, Apple II or otherwise.
...and the Apple II version of Prince of Persia is one of the worst ones available. Good god, play it on SNES or Genesis or Turbo CD or Sega CD or Amiga or Atari ST or Macintosh. :p
