RIP Beautiful mind.
Farewell
He lived a fuck of a long time for someone with ALS. I will mourn him, and what could have been had his body had the same integrity as his unreal mind. RIP
Wow, what a loss. He was very charismatic and made physics fascinating, all the moreso due to his unique physical appearence and voice, he was like a character from a movie or comic or something (Professor X maybe).
He was truly unique and special.
Although I cannot move and I have to speak through a computer, in my mind I am free.
R.I.P.
:(
If I'm remembering correctly he was given a few years to live when he was first diagnosed.
He took that horrible disease and made it his bitch, couldn't stop him. Brilliant man, R.I.P.
His book, A Brief History of Time, is essential reading. R.I.P. Stephen Hawking. Damn, us Brits have lost an awful lot of national treasures these last few years. David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Sir Roger Moore, George Michael, Ken Dodd and now Stephen Hawking. :(
Always loved that guy, smart as fuck but not above making appearances in Futurama and the Simpsons.
I hope there's a heaven and he can experience what its like to walk freely again.
Pretty sure he was atheist.
Doesn't matter what he personally believed, or what anyone believes for that matter, there IS an afterlife. I'm not talking about in a biblical sense, heaven and hell and all that, but human consciousness does survive death. I have read and studied far too many accounts of near death experiences and accounts of people receiving messages from deceased loved ones to just chalk it all up to coincidence and tricks of the mind. Anyway, let's not derail this thread. :)
RIP, he will be missed
