Yea this is sad but not tragic. How far he made it with his conditions is nothing short of impressive.
On the other hand, when Neil Fingleton(another famous British guy, "Games of Thrones") passed away last year I was in shock. I saw an article stating that was the case, I didn't believe it and thought it was like a propaganda hit piece.
People of that height often have severe health problems and more often than not die pretty young.
But thats usually in terms of age 60-75. Neil was 36 and naturally tall, other people his height usually had growth hormone tumors like Chris Greener(who made it to 71).
Eh no they die in their 30s and 40's typically from heart problems or other organ issues. It just can't support you that big. Tallest man ever died at 22 who had blood infection and bad knees. Manute Bol 47 Kidney failure. Matthew McGrory died at 32 of heart failure. Giant González age 44 failure. Some are more fortunate but the human heart typically can't sustain bodies that large esp and thinner frames create knee issues. Knee problems and sometimes diabetes. It's still very sad but kind of expected at the same time. For whatever reason these guys are tall and somewhat thin and being around that 7'.6"+ mark is a struggle than even someone like Shaq at 7' doesn't.
