I've been dead a few times, my heart stopped beating before being shocked back. Nothing there.
LOL! I could've guessed this subject would become a thread... If by 'creator' you mean a supreme being that is responsible for the creation of the universe and everything in it, then no I don't believe that. What I do believe in is a spiritual plane of existence, one which transcends our physical existence, and one in which our consciousness both came from and later returns to at the point of death. This is a place and dimension that cannot be seen or detected by our everyday physical senses, but can only be reached by either extreme physical trauma or by the actual process of death itself. The wealth of information that can be gleaned from reading about near death experiences, or NDE's, is truly eye opening.
So you believe the big bang created a spiritual plane of existence too?
No. There was a universe before the big bang. Something cannot come from nothing. You cannot magically create energy were there is none. Energy is eternal. I believe that the universe expands and contracts constantly over billions of years, and that there has been many universes before this particular one and that there will be many more after this one ends.
So you believe everything randomly fell into place?
^ Have you ever died? I have.
Heart stopped entirely. ICD in my chest shocked me back. I was gone for about 30 seconds or so. There is no experience. There is nothing. Not black or any color. Just absolute nothing and then you are alive and awake but shaken mentally. It was a more extreme version of being passed out to the point you don't know you are passed out. This happened a few times in 2015 before a new lead to the heart was added from the ICD and put on some additional meds.
30 seconds you say? Not very long so it's hard to say whether or not you were 'gone' for long enough to experience anything, but many, many people have. I don't pretend to have all the answers but, as I said, I've read far too many accounts to dismiss anything. I once read a book by a doctor, who worked with terminally ill people, and his experiences and collected accounts were nothing short of amazing. I forget the gentleman's name but the book was called You Cannot Die, or something to that effect.
Not moving goalposts at all, simply pointing out that you feeling and sensing nothing for 30 seconds neither proves nor disproves anything. I have not died personally (yet) but I have had messages come to me from loved ones that have passed on, and that my friend is all the proof I need that death is not the end.
How you get these msgs, Mega? And did you ask them if afterlife was like the one in Mass Effect 2.
